Senior Engineer - Mechanical Design

Job Description

Job Role:

To be part of Refurbishing Engineering Team, supporting in development of product engineering and manufacturing drawings for all the refurbishing products.

Job Responsibilities:

• Release of long lead items and prepare and provide mechanical design calculations for Manufacturing
• 2D drawings using AutoCAD
• 3D modelling & drafting using Creo and NX
• Experience of 3D scanning & post processing the scanned data using Design X / Polyworks is preferred
• Provide detailed engineering and ensure release of BOMs in SAP / PLM
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings (component / assembly / P&IDs / piping)
• Minimum knowledge on steam turbines (knowledge of other turbomachinery like compressors and pumps is an advantage)
• Knowledge of materials & heat treatment including various national & international standards like IS, EN, DIN, ASTM, JIS
• Knowledge of GD&T; limits & fits
• Knowledge of steam and oil system piping
• Coordinating with internal departments like Production, QA, Supply chain; Meeting with vendors / suppliers
• Willing to travel across India and abroad for on-site jobs as and when required
